Compliance Department

It is often said that the best way to truly see yourself, warts and all, is through the eyes of another. If this is indeed true then we are extremely fortunate to count amongst our client base a great number of fellow accountancy practices.

This service is undertaken in the majority of instances by the principal Paul Clegg. It is Paul's experience within both the accountancy and Financial Services sectors, which has caused many of his contemporaries to seek him out when they have required external help.

It is most likely that Paul has been called upon to provide this role due to his work as a lecturer to fellow accountants in many areas not least of which are those connected with working within the Financial Services sector.

With his technical knowledge and the practical experience that has come about from being in practice for over 35 years, together with being involved on ICAEW committees and working with fellow accountants, that many of his contemporaries have found him to be uniquely placed to provide the advice and help they need in both external compliance and help with the development of their own financial service business.

By assisting other practices this in turn provides Paul with an ever increasing breadth of experience of how other accountancy practices work. This enables him to see how different work practices compare and how factors such as the recent economic downturn affect the profession, enabling him to communicate this to client practices on an anonymous basis and better provide practical advice and solutions.

Paul is also an ICAEW support member and therefore should you find a need to consult a fellow professional, then please contact us and Paul will be only too happy talk through how we may be able to help.
